ABOUT

MeLisa Samia Collins boasts an extensive career spanning over 25 years within the Social Service field, where she has dedicated herself to the personal development and well-being of young girls. Her journey commenced with the acquisition of a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Central State University in Wilberforce, Ohio, back in 1995. Driven by her commitment to empowering others, she furthered her education by completing a Master’s degree in Human Resources, specializing in Non-Profit Management.

In 2004, fueled by her passion for making a tangible difference in the lives of young girls, MeLisa took a significant step by founding the AS I AM Girls Club. This non-profit (501 c3) organization, tailored specifically for girls aged 11-18, became a platform for MeLisa to channel her personal and professional experiences into meaningful support for teenage girls, aiding them in their journey towards self-discovery and empowerment.

 

Throughout her illustrious career, MeLisa has harbored a profound love for words and writing, a passion that has been ingrained within her since her earliest memories of putting pen to paper. Evolving from an avid reader to a proficient writer, she has honed her skills over the years, allowing her to articulate her thoughts and experiences with eloquence and depth. With three decades of combined experience in Social Services and writing, MeLisa Samia Collins stands as a beacon of inspiration and empowerment, dedicated to uplifting others through her words and actions.
